Buck® part of GEA Pharma Systems provide high containment docking systems dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry. The docking systems comprise of special split valves (Buck® Valve) or disposable & flexible Interfaces (Hicoflex®).
These technologies provide high personal and product protection during all stages of the charge and discharge process of high potent APIs as they form a dust and contamination free interface.
NEW Innovation
Tomorrow’s technology today
- The Buck® MC Valve makes the contained handling of active pharmaceutical ingredients much easier and less expensive than has been possible in the past.
Innovation - not just for its own sake but for improved products, greater safety and enhanced productivity to deliver a better future.
The need for contained handling and processing of pharmaceuticals started to rise significantly about 15 years ago. Reasons were an increased focus on health and safety aspects and also the development of more high potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPI’s). The response by the pharmaceutical equipment suppliers has resulted in market improvements in the containment levels achievable, using both established solids-handling equipment, and new innovative techniques ... Advanced technology: Buck® MC Valve (Modular Containment Valve)
High containment valves that makes the transfer of active ingredients or chemicals between IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) much easer and less expensive than has been possible in the past.
This advanced technology from GEA Niro GmbH - Buck® uses only passive valves (with no drive units) so is entirely compatible with the valves fitted to most IBCs. Until now it has been necessary to use split valve technology to discharge product from an IBC safely. This works well when discharging to the process line however, if ingredients were to be transferred from one IBC to another, or from an IBC to a double cone dryer for example, it has always been necessary to use an active to active unit in between as an interface. This is no longer necessary with the Buck® MC Valve ... Read more and download
Buck® High and Total Containment Interfaces - Highly reliable protection for personnel and products
The pharmaceutical industry is continually being confronted by increasing requirements regarding the correct methods for product handling. Wherever solid material transfer takes place, then the restrictionson dust emission must be adhered to. A major aspect of these restrictions is the protection of both products and personnel during production processes in the chemical and especially the pharmaceutical industries. Restrictions apply particularly to dust-free charging and discharging of production units with sensitive or toxic powders right up to granulates – a challenge which split valves and disposable containment interfaces from Buck® comprehensively meets ...
